HOW TO MAKE A PRODUCTIVE ROUTINE?

If you have read my previous blog you would have realised that having a productive routine is very advantageous. So in this blog I will help you to make a productive routine. The following are the chores which you should make compulsory in your routine.


1.Workout:  Staying healthy and fit is the most important thing which one should be aware of. You must be knowing that it will help you both mentally as well as physically. It could be a mild exercise/ yoga/ Jogging etc...to an intense workout. Do workout atleast for 30 minutes a day. An early morning workout is voted by me, cause it will make you feel active, healthy and positive in the morning itself which will help you through out the day. So make it as a challenge to start your day with a workout. (You can also follow certain youtube videos with workout, but be wise regarding the choice of the exercise.) Start slowly. If 30 minutes seem too much on your first day then start with 15 minutes, then go for 25 minutes on the second day and by thrid day you would be hitting 30 minutes. You may not be able to do all exercises, it will take time. It's just normal.

If you can't sacrifice 30 minutes due to your work schedule then trying walking and jogging for a workout. The time you spent in a private vechile from home to bus stop or to the grocery store etc... could be used. Try going by foot or by bicycle.





2.Reading:  Reading is equally good as workout. Here there is no body movement but mentally you are travelling far and deep. Sometimes you may not support reading for certain personal or general reasons, in such a case it is good to play a game of chess, scrabble, crossword etc...







3. Me time: Working hard and following dream is very important, but it is equally important to spent time with yourself to expose yourself to your hobbies. Spent atleast an hour or two or even more for your hobbies. It can be for movies, series, music, drawing, TV, talking with friends etc...it is 'me time', so it is your choice after all.





4.Time with nature: By this I didn't mean to planting trees or watering them. Just open the windows for some fresh air, sit close to it or grab a book you want to study or having pending work on, move to your balcony and complete it. This maynot be possible if you happen to live in a busy area or in city or town, never mind! Just grab a calm music and allow it to play in the background while you are doing your work. This will help you to relieve your stress and anxiety. Give it a try, it will help you. But be careful about the music you select. It should not be sad, or shouldn't have any lyrics or heavy beats. Do not play in a high volume.





5.Fixed time for eating and Sleeping:  Both of these tasks are important. Just doing them each day won't do any help. Always make sure that you eat and sleep during a fixed time each day. Never skip breakfast! You must be knowing that it is the most important meal of a day.

    And donot sleep soon after eating. Give yourself sometime to digest the food. Sleep atleast for 6 hours. If you happen to sleep less due to busy schedule make sure you sleep after your work. Majority of our anxiety, overthinking and stress is due to lack of sleep. If you don't even have time to sleep after work then think and try using a part of the day where you are just sitting idle. I prefer to take my bus ride for sleeping.








6. Be Consistent and strict: Don't show any sympathy on yourself during the first week. I am talking only about first week beacause by the second week you will turn these things into a habit if you were consistent. It may be hard the first few days especially the workout part, but give yourself some time to get used to it, don't expect immediate results. Every one was a beginner once!






So these are the certain things you need to keep in mind while making a productive timetable. You can skip one or two of these depending upon on your personal interest or you can add more. It's all up to you. But better try not to sacrifice your workout part. It really worth your time! All the best! You can do it! Trust yourself!
